Material
Roble is a durable hardwood which is light yellow in colour. It has a smooth luster and texture with a closely interlocked grain and has similar qualities to teak. Roble has excellent machining and turning qualities. Its strength is similar to teak and has a durability of 25 years plus. The Turnberry FSC certified roble memorial bench range is made using only 100% FSC certified pure timber from managed forests in Bolivia and is a stronger and sustainable alternative to other woods.
Care
If left untreated roble will mellow down to a silver grey appearance. The timber can be left to weather down or alternatively can be treated with Alexander Rose timber treatment plus to enhance the beauty of the wood, timber sealer to ensure the best possible protection against grime and weathering or Golden Care protector.
Your furniture can be cleaned using soapy water and a stiff brush, allowing it to dry fully before the application of any timber treatment.
More severe stains such as spillages, birds droppings and mildew etc. can be removed by using Golden Care cleaner. Alternatively, sand using a medium grit sandpaper.
Lifting grain and cracks can be glued using a waterproof adhesive suitable for timber. Clamping may be necessary with excess glue being removed using a damp cloth. The area should be sanded once the glue is dry.
From time to time it is necessary to check and if required, re-tighten all bolts
Engraving
Engraving is extra to the price of your memorial bench. You have a choice of a computer controlled engraving direct into the top rail or seat rail of the bench or both. Please choose the options you require. The maximum number of carved letters for this bench is 45 characters per line (including spaces), this bench can accommodate 2 lines to each location. A 1.5 inch wide area in the centre of the seat front rail cannot be engraved due to the way how the bench is constructed.
